NEW INFORMATION:
On My way to San Francisco...
TAXES are DONE!
San Francisco Book Fair is TWO days away (I have to set up on Friday).
Almost done -- or as done as I'm going to be before then....sort of :)
One of the more interesting bunch of books I'm taking this time is a series of Ballantine Books Hardcover editions -- Ballantine books was an early entry into the paperback book market and succeeded well, but in the very beginning, in the 1950's, they simultaneously published hardback books. They are quite hard to find and of a diverse subject matter. I'm bring a group of them (approximately 30) of these 1950's hardbacks. When I get back from the fair, I'll find out more information about the history of these puppies and let you know.
Also, I do still have some free passes to the fair available. If interested, just ask. Here's the info on the fair....
February is a big month for book fairs. First there's the book fair I'll be attending in San Francisco which is February 6-7th. Here's a link: San Francisco Antiquarian Book, Print and Paper Fair . If you'd like a free pass, or more information, just email me.
After that, the International ABAA book fair is in Los Angeles (the week after San Francisco). I am not attending that fair this year, but it's a doozy of a fair. If you are in the area, go visit it. If nothing else, you'll see things you've NEVER seen before.
One quick note -- in case you got this far ... on the right hand side of the page where the new to stock books are.... well, there aren't any pictures at the moment. I want to continue to ADD stock as I can, but until I get back from San Francisco, I'm having to rush some things and taking jpgs and adding them is one of the things that's getting tossed to the side for the moment.
When this big fair is over, I'll get the pictures up again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
IN OTHER NEWS: My blog is being updated on a daily basis (not including weekends). Here it is for easy access.
